Questions I have heard

(or dread hearing)

  • What does LTR stand for in Astoria LTR?
Long term resident, long time resident, long time renter—take your pick! I've since moved back to my hometown, but I lived in Astoria (in 3 different apartments, all in the general Broadway area) for 20 years. Still love it, still miss it.
  • Why is a single postcard so expensive?
I know. I'm really sorry about that. You're paying more for S&H than the actual product. But it's necessary to ensure the package can be tracked and the product arrives in pristine condition. If you live in or near Astoria, you're better off heading to Gift Box. Alternately, if you would like me to send you a postcard directly (addressed to you, no packaging or tracking), email me for pricing/payment options: tracyinfield@gmail.com.
  • Why do the cats on your postcards look so angry?
Are they angry, though? Or do they have RBF*? Before Buttercup, it never occurred to me that cats, like humans, could have RBF. Buttercup's expressions range from dismissive and judgmental to "Danger - homicide imminent" when I KNOW she is, in fact, perfectly content. So the cats on these postcards could have RBF. Or… Maybe they are angry. Perhaps they feel a sense of betrayal, like being dressed up in silly outfits is an affront to their dignity. Who knows? Death stare or RBF, it's all in the eye of the beholder. That's art, baby. Either way, for me, Cat Art Postcards are a fun and safe way to enjoy dressing up a cat without, you know… actually having to dress up a cat. *RBF=Resting b*itch face
